What This Tool Can and Can't Do
Let me be upfront. The web tool shows you who doesn't follow you back right now. That part is instant. To see who unfollowed you, you need historical data. Either use the app (daily snapshots) or upload two data exports through our Instagram Unfollowers Checker.
We can't access private accounts via the web tool, can't show unfollows from before you started tracking, and we don't see who viewed your profile. Instagram doesn't share that with anyone. Everything we show comes from publicly available data or your own exports.
Why Your Follower Count Changes
Sometimes you lose followers and nobody actually unfollowed you. Instagram purges bots and spam accounts regularly. People deactivate, get suspended, go private for a week. The number drops and you think someone bounced, but they didn't. Tracking over time sorts that out. One check doesn't tell you much.
